ENERO is an independent non-profit technical consultancy and research centre active in the energy field since 1999.

ENERO activity focuses on renewables and energy efficiency promotion, gathering highly experienced experts in innovative energy technologies and European R&D projects management.

Most of the activities are developped within the European programmes (Framework Programmes, Intelligent Energy Europe, South-Est Europe etc.), but also within other national actions (National R&D Programmes, Operational Sectoral Operational Programmes).

As a NGO, typical activities on EE/RES regard policy and scenarios advocacy, market promotion of clean and innovative technologies, projects feasibility, local and regional potential valorization, communication and dissemination. On a permanent basis ENERO is a group of 3 energy experts, but hiring other experts on a project basis, when needed.

SOFENA is a non-governmental organization and non-profit legal entity for public benefit.

Founders: Sofia Municipality, the State Energy Efficiency Agency, the Sofia district heating utility – “Toplofikacia”, the big private construction company – “Glavbolgarstroy” and 14 private persons (representatives of scientific institutes, universities, consumers and business organizations).

SOFENA is а founder and а member of the Association of Bulgarian Energy Agencies – ABEA, It cooperates with local authorities, educational institutions, scientific and research organizations, private companies and experts, other NGOs and professional unions, public bodies and others, etc.

CRES (GREECE)

CENTRE FOR RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES AND SAVING

The Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving (CRES) is a public entity supervised by the Ministry of Environment & Energy, and has financial and administrative independence. It is active in the fields of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) and Energy Efficiency (EE), its primary goal being to promote the technological applications in these fields both at a national and international level, as well as the support of related activities, taking into consideration the principles of sustainable development. CRES has been appointed by Law as the National Centre for Coordination in its areas of activity.

CRES has a scientific staff of more than 120 highly qualified engineers and other scientists and, over the years, has participated in more than 600 European, national and international projects. These include applied R&D and demonstration projects, development of energy information systems and energy modeling, energy policy studies, feasibility / techno-economic studies, environmental impact assessments, market research, capacity building in the fields of RES/EE, etc. Through these projects CRES developed cooperation with numerous public and private bodies at national, European an international levels, and participates in international fora and networks. It also promotes Greek interests in regions of specific interest for Greece, such as the Mediterranean, Balkans and the Black Sea, developing a network of cooperation and communication with the local energy organizations.

LEAG (SLOVENIA)

LOCAL ENERGY AGENCY OF GORENJSKA

The Local Energy Agency of Gorenjska was founded as a public institution by the City Municipality of Kranj in 2009, and was co-financed by the European Commission programme Intelligent Energy Europe.  They offer consultation with municipalities and companies on energy management, preparation of documentation for tenders, use of Renewable Energy Sources and the  documents required by law.

The Agency works in accordance with local and national programmes concerning Renewable Energy Sources (RES) and Rational Use of Energy (RUE) to actively promote the energy outlook of the region.

The Local Energy Agency of Gorenjska assists local institutions and companies in planning projects to reduce energy consumption and maximise energy efficiency.

Activities are directed towards raising public awareness in the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources such a biomass, biogas, geothermal, solar and hydroelectric energy.

Through seminars, workshops, conferences, private lectures and our website we help with lowering energy consumption and implementation of RES and RUE.
